What started with a blizzard...

When I pulled up to Nick and Haley's truck to meet them to caravan into Paradise Valley for their engagement shoot it was an all-out blizzard. A complete white-out with winds whipping the snow completely horizontal. I looked at them, they looked at me, and I said... trust me, I have an idea.

We headed out into the Absaroka wilderness, to a spot densely filled with spruce, fir, and pine trees that made the perfect backdrop for their photos - and gave us coverage from the harsh winds. Sometimes you think you want a bluebird day and mountain views, but mother nature has other plans and you have to roll with it. Something we're incredibly used to in Montana - especially in Livingston and Paradise Valley is weather that just won't cooperate. Trust that I will always have a Plan A, B, C, D & E - that I know the weather patterns at all times of the year, and that I will always do my very best to make your session perfect.

All this to say, thank you, Nick and Haley, for trusting me on a day where we could've said, "nope", and instead captured the magic of your love for one another. I cannot wait to photograph this couple's wedding day in the Bridger Mountains this summer. Enjoy their adorable photos below!
